Patty Patton

After studying finance in college, Patty made a career transition to become a hair stylist at the age of 35 and has never looked back. She works at a popular Salt Lake City salon, and lives with her young-adult daughter Maddy. She approaches life with gratitude and realism in the face of her diagnosis.

Patty helps us to understand that “cancer’s expensive.” Even with health insurance, Patty’s significant medical bills impact her family’s future plans. She continues to work full time at her salon and supports several of her clients through their own cancer journeys. Patty candidly talks with Maddy about her end of life wishes and helps her daughter process their reality as her illness progresses.
